LO:LA – informazioni sul casting

Il nuovo spinoff di Law & Order dovrebbe iniziare le riprese tra qualche settimana, e molti siti americani cominciano a chiedersi chi farà parte del cast. Già da tempo è circolato sul web l’elenco dei personaggi della serie con la relativa descrizione, che riporto nella traduzione di Antonio Genna Blog

Ecco i ruoli del nuovo spinoff di Law & Order, Law & Order: Los Angeles:
Detective Rex Winters: un aspro ex marine sui quaranta anni che ha iniziato la sua carriera durante i tumulti del caso Rodney king. Sposato con una sua ex collega.
Si cerca un attore bianco, afro-americano o ispanico.
Detective Tomas “TJ” Jaruszalski: 30 anni e nativo di Hollywood, TJ ha uno sguardo cinico all’industria dell’entertainment. Si cerca un attore bianco.
LT. Park: Capitano della Divisione Omicidi, è un professionista che mantiene privata la sua vita privata. Si cerca un attore/attrice di origini asiatiche.
Peter Morales: membro di una famiglia politica e assistente del Procuratore Distrettuale, è un “generale di battaglia” in aula. Si cerca un attore ispanico.
Eva Price: bella e intelligente assistente legale che non prende consigli da nessuno. Si cerca un’attrice bianca o afro-americana sui 20 anni.

Adesso, l’informatissimo sito Deadline.com ha elencato alcuni attori che hanno fatto i provini per i relativi ruoli: tra questi, alcuni nomi noti anche al pubblico italiano come James Van Der Beek  (Dawson’s Creek), Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck)  e Dean Cain (Le nuove avventure di Superman). Lucy Liu (Ally McBeal) potrebbe interpretare il capitano della squadra. Invece, sembra proprio che tra i regolari della serie non vi sarà il procuratore distrettuale.

I hear at least a half dozen actors have read or have been informally approached for the two detective roles, including Skeet Ulrich, James Van Der Beek, Michael Rapaport, Michael Ealy, Dylan Walsh and Dean Cain. Clearly, NBC and Dick Wolf are casting a wide net for the leads of the new Law & Order series, Law & Order: Los Angeles. The producers have been looking for a big-name actor to play the prosecutor, ADA Peter Morales. And I hear there may be interest in Lucy Liu for another role, possibly the captain. While casting on the project is still in preliminary stages, it is expected to kick into high gear soon as filming is slated to begin July 22.

According to a breakdown for the fall NBC series released 2 weeks ago, LOLA (as the series is known) follows closely the template of the other Law & Order series with two detectives, with fortysomething Rex Winters and thirtysomething TJ Jaruszalski at the center of the storyline, joined by a captain, a prosecutor, and his assistant.
